All staff at Ellesmere Children's Centre and Emosi have a duty of care to the children within our centre, and it is our responsibility to remain vigilant at all times in order to protect children from any potential harm. All staff members are required to complete Level 3 Safeguarding for Children training as a condition of employment, as well as having undergone a DBS check which is also updated as legally required. Regular safeguarding training is completed for staff to stay refreshed upon their safeguarding knowledge.

At Ellesmere Children's Centre, we endeavor to ensure our nursery is a secure environment where children and their families can feel safe and protected. You can be confident that all information regarding your child and family will be held in the strictest confidence and this will never be shared without your permission unless we feel a child's health or safety is at direct risk.

Our promises:

- Practice safe recruitment of all staff working with children

- Be able to recognise the signs of all types of abuse

- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety checks

- Be open-minded, understanding practitioners whom children feel comfortable to approach

We have our own internal Ellesmere Children's Centre and Emosi safeguarding policy, which is available:
