Filial Therapy Sessions

Filial Therapy is a special kind of play therapy that closely involves parents and carers. In keeping with our service ethics the new Centre will provide
trans-cultural play therapy for local families with children aged 3—11; in time we hope it will become a City-wide service.

Filial Therapy usually lasts between 3—6 months but may last longer with follow up sessions. The therapy is taught to parents and followed through with support from a trained professional and can be provided in various ways to meet the circumstances of
the child and parent/carer.
