Ofsted Outstanding

We all sparkle in colour

We made a video in response to the Black Lives Matter movement which underpins all of our core values and belief in supporting all children or all colours, races and creeds.
It is called "Sparkle in Colour" and you can watch it by clicking HERE

Ellesmere Children's Centre and Coronavirus

In these difficult times, Ellesmere Children’s Centre is doing all it can to continue providing the essential childcare services to families. We are constantly keeping up to date with the advice from Government and other bodies to ensure that all our children, staff and visitors to the Centre are kept safe.

At present, we are taking a positive approach to providing our services and making sure all health and safety procedures, guidelines and advice is followed. Until we are told that we cannot open, then we will continue to provide childcare services for anyone that needs them. If you find your regular provider can no longer look after your children and they and their family is fit and healthy, then please contact us to see if we can help.

These are very difficult times for us all and we need to stand strong together to help each other. There are some very vulnerable people in our communities, please consider how you can help them so we can all get through this unprecedented challenge.

Congratulations Sharon

We were delighted to see Dr. Sharon Curtis be nominated and a finalist for the Inspirational Women of Sheffield Awards.

Certificate

Unfortnately, Sharon did not win the education category, losing out to very worthy winner, Fir Vale School's Headteacher Rachel Smith, but we are very proud of her getting to the finals.

In memory of Barrie Sefton

It is with a heavy heart that Ellesmere Children’s Centre, as part of the Consortium for Children and Families, share the loss of their friend and colleague Barrie Sefton.

Barrie 1
Although his work focused on the Manor and Childcare Project, he was a great supporter of the work with our children and families. Working with us in Burngreave and others at Darnall and Page Hall, Barrie would challenge unfair and inequitable systems. He often attended meetings and functions at Ellesmere Children’s Centre supporting the development of Emotional and Social therapeutic care at the new centre Emosi.

A kind and caring soul ..... gone but never forgotten!

A community Master Chef competition
A community Junior Master Chef competition
Bring your kids to the kitchen and cook as a family with help from a chef
